write better recipes

How to develop, test, and write recipes that work every time (and will get you hired again and again)!

Guess what? You don't need to be a professionally trained chef to write recipes.

You just need to know how to cook and play close attention so you can transmit what you do in your kitchen onto a page.

Created by a cookbook author and former Food & Wine editor, this workshop will take you step-by-step through the process of developing, testing, and writing recipes with confidence.

HEY,
I’m
Kristin!

And I believe we owe it to our readers to write recipes that work!

I'm the author of Modern Potluck and the Substack newsletter Mission: Dinner. For eight years, I was a food editor at Food & Wine magazine. I've developed and tested recipes for dozens of other cookbooks, magazines, and websites.

I think deeply about the recipe creation process and would love to share all I know with you!

Recipes are more than cooking instructions.

They are stories that can link us to our ancestors and preserve their knowledge for future generations. They are tools that can help people live more delicious, healthier lives. They are portals that can help us understand other parts of the world (or your unique world) through flavor.

If you know you have recipes you want to share, this workshop will help you do that with accuracy and confidence.
